What's for dinner tonight? Dinner ideas?

Really? I would have thought on Vancouver Island salmon would be cheap. Do you get Dungeness crab out there?
Yeah, salmon is outrageous here for price. More than beef pricing
We do have Dungeness crab. Lots of people fish the public docks in Nanaimo for them. We would throw a trap out in the shallows when i used to fish.

Meatloaf. This is my favourite go to recipe for meatloaf, I’ve always done it in the oven. This time I’m giving it a try on the Traeger. Results to follow 😋
Oven For Sale.
It turned out great. I used some ground moose in place of the beef. The hint of smoke was a nice addition to my classic meatloaf. The meatloaf recipe was from Chef John (Allrecipes).
It has puréed veggies mixed in. Served it up with fondant potatoes and a side salad.

Here’s an original recipe I came up with…. Chili Cheese Logs!
I made a bacon weave, layered on pastry dough, hot dog, chili, and cheese. Mmmmmm.😍

I see that your Probe Tree has 3 silicone probe holders.

The BBQ Guru Probe Tree comes with 2 Probe Holders.
Where did you get the 3rd holder? Does someone sell only the additional holders?
Maybe he has 2 trees and he just made one a "3" holder

Best chicken I have cooked on the Traeger.
375°F, from start to finish. Chicken thighs and lollipop drumsticks
Holy Voodoo and Dixon competition chicken rub. Sauced half with Keto BBQ sauce, half with Bullseye BBQ the last 5 minutes.
Crispy skin and lots of flavor, and even a hint of smoke flavor. Furtado Farms Pecan Pellets again today.

And yes, even some thin blue smoke at 375°F. It is possible......dare to dream😊

About how long do they take at 375’?

Prime Tri-Tip from HEB tonight. I now know why it's only $7.99/lb. though. These puppies have a considerable fat cap on them and it always flares up on the gasser when I reverse sear them.

So trimmed the fat on this one to get to the Costco level for Prime Tri-Tip and I ended up with 14.3 ounces of fat. Back that out of the equasion and now this tri-tip is $10.54/lb. Still cheaper than Costco's $12.99/lb. but they do the trim work. On the other hand, SWMBO will fry up this Prime Beef Fat into cracklins and it will be a tasty KETO snack.

Seasoned it with Kosmos SPG and it's in the smoke bath till ready to sear.

Cranked up the ol' Century 22 for Bacon wrapped Shrimp for a little Surf & Turf tonight.

Smashed burgers cooked on the flatside of the grillgrates. Did some bacon wrapped pickle slices for the top of the burgers. If you haven't done bacon wrapped pickles yet.....you should.
Also did up some bacon wrapped hot Italian sausage. Seeing I had the bacon left over....
