Has there been any real resolution for this issue? I was just about to purchase one based on how happy my friends are that own a Traeger. I did so e research and determined that the Pro 575 was for me. Now I get on here and read about all the problems. Makes me second guess getting one now. Should I hold off, or search for another brand?
My wife is ready to go to Home Depot to get one right now, but I'm a little more reluctant. I have wanted one for so long so it is odd that she is the one telling me to get it while I am indecisive.
I am assuming it wouldn't make a huge difference whether we purchase it from Traeger, Home Depot, or Ace. . . If it is going to have an issue where I get it from will not matter.
I'm in Canada, bought at a Lowes, and still have the issues. It looks like you have lots of competitive options in the US - not so much here north of the border. Not sure why you would buy something with known outstanding/unresolved temp issues? Mine is going back next week. I want something that I can count on (and that goes above 360 degrees!).
Unfortunately they don't have a ship to Canada optionRT-590 | REC TEC Grills

Just about to pull the trigger on a rec tec stampede myself. Glad to hear you are pleased with yours.Oh, also, I just assembled my new RecTec Stampede and am about to start the burn-in. Wow, talk about a stainless steel tank.
First cook tonight - reverse seared ribeyes. Grill was great. Temp constant to a couple degrees and easily got to 500 for the final sear. I’ll go max next time I’ll try for the max temp - 600?Just about to pull the trigger on a rec tec stampede myself. Glad to hear you are pleased with yours.
The handles on the RecTec are a bit creepy. I keep thinking it’s sbout to charge...First cook tonight - reverse seared ribeyes. Grill was great. Temp constant to a couple degrees and easily got to 500 for the final sear. I’ll go max next time I’ll try for the max temp - 600?
