Pro 575 Not Achieving Temperatures

I’m just cooking two chickens for dinner on my Pro 575. Grill is showing 350F and my cheapo oven thermometer is showing 330F-335F. It’s close...

Has there been any real resolution for this issue? I was just about to purchase one based on how happy my friends are that own a Traeger. I did so e research and determined that the Pro 575 was for me. Now I get on here and read about all the problems. Makes me second guess getting one now. Should I hold off, or search for another brand?

So far there isnt a solution that's 100%. Some have had success after the firmware update and some none. Like me nothing has fixed the issue yet. It's a great smoker. Just have to work with a bit. Iam confident that they will fix the solution and once they do itll be just as good as the rest of their smokers..

It's up to you if you want to find something else. I think you'll have to decide on that..

My wife is ready to go to Home Depot to get one right now, but I'm a little more reluctant. I have wanted one for so long so it is odd that she is the one telling me to get it while I am indecisive.

I am assuming it wouldn't make a huge difference whether we purchase it from Traeger, Home Depot, or Ace. . . If it is going to have an issue where I get it from will not matter.

Iam not sure if the smokers that are having issues are from a batch that went to specific stores or not. I wouldn't think so.

I got mine from home depot because I knew that their return service is way way more relaxed then say Ace or Traeger.

I'm in Canada, bought at a Lowes, and still have the issues. It looks like you have lots of competitive options in the US - not so much here north of the border. Not sure why you would buy something with known outstanding/unresolved temp issues? Mine is going back next week. I want something that I can count on (and that goes above 360 degrees!).

Oh, also, I just assembled my new RecTec Stampede and am about to start the burn-in. Wow, talk about a stainless steel tank.
Just about to pull the trigger on a rec tec stampede myself. Glad to hear you are pleased with yours.

First cook tonight - reverse seared ribeyes. Grill was great. Temp constant to a couple degrees and easily got to 500 for the final sear. I’ll go max next time I’ll try for the max temp - 600?

The handles on the RecTec are a bit creepy. I keep thinking it’s sbout to charge...
