I haven't emptied my hopper since I bought this almost a year ago...

My bro has had a Traeger for a few years now here in high humidity Alabama.....I have a friend with a different brand pellet grill.......neither empty their hopper after each use.

I remove the pellets after each cook and store them in airtight containers to prevent moisture compromise. I also sift the pellet dust out of each batch of pellets before loading the hopper to prevent a clog and back-burn. Just a few little things I do to keep the cooker in prime working condition.

I would think a yeti bucket and lid would work great for storing pellets, though admittedly that cost more than a standard bucket that i'm sure would do the trick just fine.

Try searching Gamma Lids, they work with standard 5 gallon buckets. Much cheaper than Yeti and makes an air tight seal

They are hard to find them where I am. The only place I had seen them was a plastics specialty store, and they weren't cheap.

I have one of those and they're nice, but I have about 10 or so storage bins and a cheap home depot bucket and gamma (type) lid was a lot less money!

$12.00, is the cheapest I’ve seen those.
May be cheaper than gamma type lid + bucket. Not airtight though…
I use cat litter boxes also, not airtight either, and I’ve not had any trouble even in humid Texas.
