I bought two of the Kingsford charcoal containers and was using them for the pellets. Not a completely satisfactory solution for me.
1. These are very tall, almost 20". Some of you have been storing them under the grill (I notice that Slim does this), but I built a shelf for my Pro 575 and it will not fit in there. I was storing it under the pellet dispenser, but that gets awkward during a cook with the power cable and all the probes.
2. I want to get rid of the pellet dust (I'm still trying to use up the 33 lb bag of initial Traeger pellets I bought so I can get some better stuff). I need to place a sieve at the bottom and usually this calls for a round bucket. I began to see the benefit of the traeger pail, lid and sieve system. Unfortunately, the buckets are sold out everywhere, possibly discontinued.
The lid and sieve kit is still available so I bought one of those. The lid is supposed to fit any 5 gallon bucket, but it did not fit any of the 3 buckets I already had (a difference of 12" vs 12.5" diameter). I just went to Lowe's with a measuring tape and measured all the 5 gallon buckets they had. The standard Lowe's bucket had the smallest diameter at 12". I bought that and the lid fit, as well as the sieve!
But it is still too big for the shelf under the Traeger (the 3.5 gallon bucket which I got from Home Depot would have fit, but it was too wide for the Traeger lid). The good news is that I have a prep table that I use for grilling:

I can strongly recommend this to anyone looking for a good prep table. I built a shelf for this as well, but it still allows for the bucket storage.
I'm finally happy wit this solution. The two Kingsford containers will go to the garage for longer storage. I will replenish the Lowe's bucket as needed and empty out the pellet dust under the sieve each time. I just have to print some labels to cover up the ugly Lowe's logs!
