I cannot connect via Wifire. I have tried everything already. Now what?

hi mate. I am at the same boat. Just got my Pro 575 and can’t get past the nickname part.

just connected it again to the wifi.
Does the Traeger updates automatically or do I have to prompt it?

cheers
They do update on their own but you have to get it connected to the internet before that can happen. I had some issues myself but I was persistent, deleted everything and let the grill sit for a few days. Then when I started again fresh it did what it's supposed to do and all has been well ever since.

You mean delete everything from the grill or the app from your phone? I don't see any way to delete the settings in the grill, at least not in the menu.

I don't know exactly where to find it on the grill's controller but there is an option to 'forget network'. Do that on the grill and delete and reinstall the app, that worked for me.

Yes, under settings. Forget it there and forget the Traeger WiFi on your phone.

how do you forget the network from the grill control panel? i dont see that option in settings.

Probably have to be connected to a network.
It is. It shows the network name on the grill menu. The app shows the grill. The app just can't connect since the upgrade. Just a big red message saying not connected. And all since the upgrade!

Same issues on my Timberline 1300 - been a year of frustration and literally different answers every time I call on the WiFi issue. Now - I don’t need WiFi connectivity but it’s part of the unit and it should work. Hopefully they figure out This issue soon - but I’m not banking on it.

Finally, problem solved!

So, after weeks turned into months and still no wifire connection Traeger finally sent me a new controller for my Pro 575. Of course it came in a box with no instructions; just a controller and a couple of wiring harnesses. So after not hearing anything back from Traeger on how to install and connect the new controller I just gave it a go on my own. Actually turned out to be pretty simple. Fortunately I noticed a QR code sticker on the side of the controller and removed it prior to the installation. That QR code replaces the old one.

After the install I turned it on and went through the connection procedure from scratch using the new QR code and everything works now. I did a test fire, run and cool down and everything came through on the app.

The key to knowing that the controller was bad was that after the software upgrade the menu option to FORGET NETWORK was missing from the Traeger menu. That option is once again present. So it seems that some of the original controllers can't accept the upgrade and still function, at least and still connect to wifire. Traeger seems to be aware of this because once they realized that my menu option was missing the answer was to replace the controller. Of courser that took weeks to get them to send it.

Hopefully this may help some of you who are having issues with wifire after the software upgrade.

I had issues getting connected. On my second call to customer support I asked for a supervisor. He pulled my grill up in their system via Serial Number. Dumb luck, he noticed that the UUID for my grill was in lower case, he changed it to be upper case. Before he even got back on the phone to check on me it was connected and updating. ...so, call them and ask them to check/fix the UUID. Not sure if it’s the silver bullet but it won’t hurt.

Just noticed my Ironwood updated to v2.01.00. Not sure what that is, but may fix issues? Was v2.00.02 yesterday.

Since isolation, we have been smoking nearly every other day if not every three days. Our Pro780 updated a couple times over the past week. The feature I noted last night was it will go to 500 degrees now! WOO WOO!

I cannot even get mine to connect to our Wifi at all. I have tried the app instructions several times. Traeger customer service has been no help over the past couple weeks.

Does the app on your phone always swap from your home Wifi over to connect to the grill's Wifi after you scan the QR code and then tries to switch/ connect back to your home Wifi? After I scan the QR code and my phone connects to the Traeger wifi, it never gets to the home wifi.
Yes Im having the exact same issue after the update. It does not see any other wifi connections and I have a dedicated 2.4ghz it was connected to before and now that doesn't even work.
