Firmware update 2.01.00 is coming

Did anyone notice in the iOS App Store the images for the app show stats & graphs? I wonder when that is coming. Or is it just for Timberline?

New app update today V 2.0.3b12....still no ability to pull an update, but maybe they are heading in the right direction.
thanks. update the app on my iPhone, but still no 2.01 firmware upgrade for my pro 575

I updated the app on my iPhone today and saw the super smoke button and pellet level sensor were added. After closing and reopening the app, they were missing. I have deleted and readded the app to no avail. Anyone else have this problem?

Is the 575 supposed to get Super Smoke? Do you have a pellet sensor installed? I’m guessing it defaults to show those, but disappears with 575 and pellet sensor won’t show unless installed.

That makes sense. No I don't have a pellet sensor installed & I had heard that the 575 was supposed to get super smoke, but it's just hearsay.

So my 850 was updating for 24+ hours and I turned it off. So I turned it back on, power light but blank screen. Can't do anything. So it is updating with a blank screen?

So am I understanding this right, this grill has a WiFi controller, a cool mobile app, but there is no way for me to force an upgrade to selected or latest firmware? WTF? How do I get my grill to upgrade? Why not a USB port so this can be managed offnet?

At present, Traeger is only providing for PUSH updates via the Traeger Cloud back-end to WiFIRE Controllers ... what you're looking for is a PULL update that is end-user initiated by either the D2 WiFIRE Controller Display to the Traeger Cloud back-end, or a PULL update that is end-user initiated via the App ...

We are all hoping that someday Traeger joins the long list of IoT-device vendors who provide for PULL updates ... :)

Yet another Timberline 850 with the connection issue. I had no issues for a few months....then I upgraded my router to an AmpliFi HD mesh Wi-Fi system. I seamlessly connected 20 devises in my home with zero issues....until the Traeger. Set up a dedicated 2.4 for the 850...no go.
On the phone 3 times with them yesterday.
Received a different story each time. The first rep told me to delete and reinstall the app on my phone....of course that didn't work.
Second rep told me to do a factory reset on the 850 to delete the old router. Stayed on the phone with the rep during this procedure and this didn't work. He then told me to leave the grill on and within 30 mins they would push an update. 30 mins turned into 2 hours and no update push so I called back and got a third rep.
This one had me do the same trouble shooting with no joy. She then said to have my grill on Monday (8/3) for 24 hours as they are doing "manual push updates to every user who has called with this issue"...seems they are maintaining a list.
It is had to be optimistic reading all the posts on these issues going back months. The third rep whet on to say, "well you can still use your grill." Of course...spent $2,000 for a grill and one of the major features is out. Inexcusable Traeger!

Push/Pull I wish I could just cook a friking hotdog on my 850. Controller problems from day one. Waiting for a replacement. 2 day air my a**.

Ugh ... When changing out, or updating, the Home Wi-Fi info, I have had to do the following steps:

01) Factory Reset WiFIRE Controller
02) Manually select Forget Network on the WiFIRE Controller - confirm that the WiFIRE Controller is now displaying Traeger-XXXX as the SSID: value
03) Remove Grill from App (if App Device = Android, purge App Cache as well)
04) Power Off Grill
05) Delete App from App Device
06) Power Off App Device
07) Power On Grill
08) Power On App Device
09) Install App from AppStore / Google Play
10) OPTIONAL - go into AmpliFi App and turn off the 5GHz radio ...
11) Go into Settings on App Device and put into Airplane Mode

EDIT - step 11a) Manually turn on Wi-Fi on App Device
EDIT - step 11b) Forget any/all Home Wi-Fi Network SSIDs to prevent the App Device from reconnecting to the preferred (i.e. 5GHz radio) when switching back from the internal network of the WiFIRE Controller (Traeger-XXXX) prior to the setup/pairing process successfully completing ...

12) Connect App Device to Home Wi-Fi Network (2.4GHz radio / SSID)
13) Open App and perform Add a Grill setup/pairing
14) Upon completion of setup/pairing (after Grill has been named and you can control Temp/Timer via the App), go back into AmpliFi App and re-enable 5GHz radio if you had previously done Step 10) ... take App Device out of Airplane Mode ...

Let us know if this works ... :)

Wow, this is a more detailed suggestion than I received from Traeger! Many thanks for the detailed procedure. I am in the middle of a cook now but I will try this tomorrow and see what happens. I will keep you posted.
Cheers
