Just got off the phone with Traeger. I successfully paired my grill to my phone and have left the grill on in standby for over 24 hrs & still no update. Traeger says that their servers are overwhelmed with requests to push the new update so we have to be patient. There is no need to leave the grill on or even plugged in; when the grill gets turned on it will automatically search for the new firmware update.

Thanks. I called a couple times. Have two Ironwood 650's, one is on 2.01.00 and the other is 2.00.01. I've tried everything to get the one to update with no luck. Traeger tells me they are the same version (for the Ironwood, I don't think there's big change, like with the Pro's), but was still annoying. This answer makes more sense. Anytime there was an update in the past, both updated right away. I just had the 1 grill off when 2.01.00 first came out...

I've had my PRO 575 on all day for 4-5 days w/o an update. What do you mean by "standby" As in the grill's display remains on waiting for a temp setting and "ignite"? or when you push "shut down" on the APP?

Standy means turning on the power switch in the back of the bbq but not pushing the menu button. The controller screen should be blank. I have been turning on my pro 575 randomly throughout the day and no update yet.

You finally got the update? Or are just leaving grill in standby mode?
have not gotten the firmware update, was just able to pair the grill to my home wifi. The Traeger help desk guy said there is no need to leave the grill on so I periodically turn it on to see if it will update. I'll give it the rest of this week and call again if it isn't updated.

Same issue with the Pro 780. Just spoke to a Traeger rep after 2 hours waiting for a call back. He stated the same thing, but added they are working on a "NEWER" app that will allow you to update firmware/config files from within. No date or time for resolution....it seems like wireless was an after thought when these grills were developed.

I hope they fix this version first before introducing another one!

When I spoke to Traeger about it, he told me "standby" was just powering on the grill to where the temp is flashing waiting for you to set.

Update April 24: I saw this on the Traeger subreddit. Someone got an email from Traeger Support that a fix for the release of firmware v 2.01.00 to the PRO 575's should be released in the next 10 days.

I hope so. Please post when you find out!

Well that explains why adding the grill it checks for updates and spends time downloading the OTA image only to not update.

FWIW, I just got my new Timberline 850 assembled yesterday. Connected the app, and it said it was downloading firmware and software updates. Now in operation, it has Firmware v02.00.01. Config version v08.004
