I’m running that firmware and I’m having the same issues with temp ambient temperature being way off controller temperature. Unless when I just checked it it updated without me knowing it. I call and there sending a RTD and. Told them there controllers are the problem. But I get a new RTD.

It's annoying that this problem is known throughout customer service yet. I was communicating via email, because I haven't had time to call, and every reply was a different representative and in the end they basically said temp swings were normal. The last rep obviously didn't understand what I was saying.

There only hurting there trade mark.
Everyone has valid points, and yes I agree it's disappointing that the internal temp appears to be off. But are you using a probe to ensure meat temp, are you using the controller or wifire to adjust the temp as needed. I've seen T1300 temp swings, but have quickly adjusted temp settings up/down as needed. Everything is coming out as expected, and I'm a happy T1300 Gen2 customer. Sometimes new technology changes our perception of process. Great BBQ still requires patience, observation and adjustments. I find with Wifire, remote adjustments are simple and very effective.

Yeah I use rthere probe and a maverick xr -50. I use WiFi and at the controller. When the both temps on the controller match up and the ambient temp is 40 to 60 degrees low that’s has to do with the unit. It’s the same for all wether conditions and been lik that from the get go. Switch out pellets and the same thing. It’s not that it appears to be off. It’s off. You shouldnt have to hold it at 300 deg to hit 225. That’s on a hot still day. The problem is there pushing out defective products. I under stand they need to work out program kinks.

Got it...

I made steaks for dinner tonight on my Pro 575. I set the grill to 425F and the cheap oven thermometer that I had sitting on the left side of top shelf showed around 390F. Still a bit low but pretty close to the set point.
