Traeger "Must Have" Accessories - Master Thread

I bought Wells Lamont leather gloves for a back up and tractor gloves primarily. These are some of the toughest ones I've used, and I've use a lot. The leather is very soft and the tightening strap is a nice feature. Yes, they were tight on my hands to begin with, but they stretched nicely and are now like a second skin.

I'm not keen on wire bristle grill brushes. They always seem to shed and then you need to pick the bristles off the grill before they get into the food. So, I thought I would try one of these instead. By Mr. Bar-B-Q.

I have one of those, and in my opinion it is useless. The cleaning area is too stiff and doesn't do anything to help clean the grates.
My advice based on my experience with the one I purchased would be a hard pass

Agreed, basically useless, it doesn't get into the crevasses etc

Even with grill grates, just not hot enough
Bro you are the most negative poster here by far. I lot of people drive threw and drop bombs. I assume because they assume this board is directly connected with Traeger (which it isn’t). But man you’re committed to hating your Traeger and making sure everyone here on the Traeger forums knows it.

What did you guys get instead? I ended up with just the Traeger wood scraper as i didn’t want the old wire kind and it was for sale at my local ACE.

For me, it was one similar to this one
Not perfect, but a wood scraper added to this may help. It lacks a scraping edge.
I am also guilty of using a metal one. But if I do use that I use the wooden fiber one after as well as wet wiping the grates followed by a dry wipe to finish.

I have Grill Grubber https://smile.amazon.com/gp/product/B01NB9XBRI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Wood scraper, and 3 of those metal ones above (I just need to USE them... HAHAHA)
The nice thing with the metal one like the one in my link is that the bristles go all the way through the twisted handle. About the only way one is coming out is if it breaks. I still wouldn't use it without using something like the one in your link afterwards and wiping in down by hand.

I use a GrillGrubber with water, immediately after pulling the meat. Press shutdown, scrub off the big stuff, then leave the door open for fastest cool down, then cover.

Deep clean, soak in shallow tub with dish soap, scrub with wire brush, and loose GrillGrubber pad and gloved hand. I found some narrow stainless "toothbrush" style brushes for detailing hard to reach spots.
