Traeger "Must Have" Accessories - Master Thread

Maybe not a 'must have' item. But added a little bit of light for cooking at night. Plus I noticed it is a bit dark even during the day now it's under cover
These have a magnetic base, and the magnets are strong. Sold in pairs. Also comes with a storage case

That's a great idea! I might have to do that.

They also came with two steel disks with double sided tape so you can mount it on Stainless Steel surfaces.
I have one disk mounted on the SS side shelf and have left the lights attached to the grill on each side of the door, the other is on the front of the hopper. The flexible neck allows you to move them out of the way of the door
They work great and I am pretty happy with the quality and price for two lights. The case they come in is pretty nice too. Would be good to protect a cell phone or camera.

This one is a nice to have if you can afford it. During long cooks to prevent the Traeger shutting down due to a power glitch, you need a UPS/power station. A UPS is more affordable but it has to be indoors. If that is not possible you need a ruggedized outdoor power station. I recommend this one:

I really like the fact that with this unit I don't need a long power cord on the patio.

Another nice to have if you can afford it. There is nothing like a large hardwood cutting board with a juice canal for slicing your brisket. There are many to choose from, but I highly recommend this one:

Note that all hardwood cutting boards need to be oiled regularly.

If you are serious about smoking, you are quickly going to run out of freezer space, for storing both raw and cooked meats. If you are lucky to have basement with space for it, you can use a regular freezer. For the rest of us a garage freezer is the best option. GE makes a line of garage ready freezers:

Get the largest freezer you can afford!

This one may seem like it is off the wall (!), but I think it is essential. Traeger portrays their grills as set and forget ones, but we all know that they need to be monitored. Weather permitting I like to sit outside (with an adult beverage!) during the cook. Unlike those who live in desert climates (California, Arizona, ....), most of us have to deal with mosquitoes. I have found this device to be an essential one during cooks:

It works very well.

Looks like a mini AirFryer. A good option to have if your in mosquito country. I have zero mosquit’s living next to the wetlands.
We could always go back to our childhood days and use the coil.

That smell! Memories.
