Traeger investment: stock is down over 50%

1. Shipping from China is a royal pain in the ass these days, especialy by container
2. Traeger is getting hit by same awareness that is slaughtering Peloton stock these days: expensive at home non-essential appliances can become curb decorations when the fad wears off
3. Meat prices don't help. Cooking a brisket, which was supposed to be a cheap piece of meat, costs alot to buy the beef, and the pellets consumed aren't that cheap either.

That being said, I actually do enjoy the pellet smoking experience and food results and will keep mine.

p.s. bought mine used for < 1/2 full retail price. I fixed up a few things and it works just perfectly now.

Pretty much this.

I think you can also throw in a heavy dose of competition now, as well. Not only directly from other pellet grills but from griddles, new gas grills, kamado-style grills, etc. The consumer has lots of outdoor cooking options spanning from low $$ to high $$$$$.

Maybe it's because the cost of brisket (along with virtually every other protein) has gone up by 50% :ROFLMAO: .
Maybe it is because the Traeger family is no longer involved? Or that the grills are now made in Vietnam? I don't know. Stock is $8.75 today 1/27/22

Ouch. I think they need to release some new exciting products this year.

Any rumors out there floating around?

I believe Pit Boss came out with a griddle, wonder if Traeger will add that to the line up? It would help with incremental sales, or "add ons", that they could target to both new customers and existing customers who are not prone to upgrade their existing pellet grill.

I also wonder how the new "meal" offering is coming along. My gut tells me not well but that's just my own feeling toward the service probably. That and the drop in stock isn't making me feel like it's not bringing in tons of revenue (I haven't looked at the numbers at all so I am just guessing)

I cashed out my tech fund beginning of Dec on a 'high', I would have lost $2500 to date if I kept it... now I'm stuck wondering where to put the money??? everything is crashing

They need a gen3 Timberline and Ironwood with dual probes and paint that lasts!

That’s kinda funny

Hopefully more exciting than the Matt Pittman pellets. They’re already discontinued
Well they were charging I think $30 a bag for them

Maybe it's time for a Traeger Combo smoker/griddle/grill?

Dual probes would be a nice addition.

Ouch, I was mad at myself for not buying this when they became public. Maybe now's a good time to buy some?
Traeger has had a price issue for a while:
