I have been a Traeger owner for over 10 years. After more than a decade with my Lil Tex 22, I finally decided to upgrade. My last cook on the Lil Tex was last week's Turkey and as always it turned out juicy and tasty. It was time for an upgrade, so here we go.
Today I picked up an Ironwood Pellet Grill. With the shelf it had a little over 600sq inches of grill space. I didn't go bigger because it's just the two of us.
I assembled it myself and it took about 2 hours from cutting open the box to rolling it into place in the backyard. I took my time and didn't rush things.
This evening I seasoned it, which it did itself so I hope it all went well. I need to get a cover!
Tomorrow or Wednesday I will put my first Tri Tip on for its maiden cook. I am looking forward to using t he technology in this thing, it is quite impressive.
So hello from Arizona
The new Traeger!
