Interesting...I was trying to connect to Wifire and couldn’t open app. Reinstalled app and now it won’t connect and Traeger app screen is frozen...brrrrhStrange....it's now connected but the grill and probe temps are rapidly changing on Wifire but the grill temp itself is steady.
Try deleting grill, then go through the pairing again (which includes the naming of your grill). Worked for me but the app does seem possessed at times. But I have been able to control the temp and probe settings through the WiFire app.(so far). I currently have a ham on and am closely monitoring it to ensure the temps don't spike up or down. At this point, I have no confidence to put a brisket on and go to work.Interesting...I was trying to connect to Wifire and couldn’t open app. Reinstalled app and now it won’t connect and Traeger app screen is frozen...brrrrh

1. Updates to cloud connectivity to improve response time between grill and app
Having the same issue on my 575. App reads the correct #s at first then spazzes out and gets all wonky. Good thing is, at least the settings on the actual grill aren't fluctuating.Just fired up my 885 to do some elk brats for dinner. Set it at 400 degrees, and WiFire app is bouncing back and forth between "grill igniting, 400 degrees", "grill preheating, 400 degrees" and "grill idle, 170 degrees". Temperature bouncing back and forth between 32 and 39 degrees (ambient air temp is currently 30 degrees). I'll see how this simple cook goes, and may try re-pairing the grill and app, but appears the app developers have dropped the ball once again.
I agree... Feels like we're guinea pigs sometimes. I'll be okay with it as long as they fix it within the next 24 hours. Fingers crossed. This is why I wish I were in control of when to install an app update and trigger a firmware update.
