I pretty much use short 100%! Great for so many different cooks!!

Yes. It was a set of both short and long.
I now have enough probes for 2 Fireboards

I think that is the color for port #6

Yes, I believe each port is assigned its own color. I don't know if they can be changed.

Port 6 on mine is almost red

Port 6 on mine is red also, so I have no idea why it is green.
