I just changed it again on the FB, and that works ok... just not the app.
After my cook, I’ll try reinstalling the app... I even Googled it, and no hits...

Ok, figured it out.. Mystery solved...
I was using the auto session (just renamed it). If I start a new session, everything works as expected...

Received my FireBoard 2 yesterday and did a cook today using a food and ambient probe. So much better than the Traeger built-in probe which had to be recalibrated at the start of each cook. Set the grate clip with the ambient probe between two meats. I didn't realize the actual temp of my Timberline 1300 was approximately 10 degrees from what the grill reads.

I will now use the FireBoard 2 on all my cooks

Do a test with the Fireboard ambient at different locations and compare that to the Traeger probe, I found a 10-20F difference.

Ok, here is proof that there is such thing as a stupid question...

When you guys are finished with the cook how do you stop the Fireboard from recording? Do you just shut it off? Or is there another way to end the session?

Settings, Exit App.... that's what i do

I just shut it off, and close the app. Stops recording automatically after 30 minutes.

I don’t see an Exit App tab under settings

I just power off the unit, that stops the session. I rename sessions in the edit screen and save only meaningful sessions for later reference

I go into the edit session and enter end date and time. Then shut the unit and app. down.

My only issue is when it is cold,like 5f degrees the buttons dont work very well. So i let it warm up to shut it off.
