Failed to download certificate files

I sent Traeger this video today explaining what I was getting with the certificate error. They said they sent to their IT APP engineer for review. I don't get the feeling they really know what is going on, but maybe this will help.

I have the exact issue on my 575 pro.
Let me know if you hear anything from them or any resolution.
When I told them about this issue last week I recieved a generic email but nothing since.

I have an ongoing conversation with Traeger at this time, and hopefully working with one of their engineers today. After seeing my video, they have something to try, so I'm hopeful. If all goes well, I'll make sure they understand others are experiencing this issue, but I believe they know. At any rate, I'll make sure and report back.

Thank you
I just went through my router settings its dual band so I turned off the 5ghz didn't work, turned off the 2.4 and it cant even connect to the 5.0
So I know that's not it.

Same issues I emailed them Saturday night
No fix yet
I’m surprised you’ve received any communication. I’ve emailed 10 times called multiple times. Can’t get a response, call back, email nothing. I posted a 1 star review based on customer service not a single response tried contacting through Twitter. For $1200 I should at least be able to talk to someone. I am beyond frustrated with this company.

I cried a lil bit on their facebook page using my wifes fb.
Got a reply
I've tried everything beside waiting 24 hours with it on and not cooking.
If anybody has any luck with the link let us know.

I turned power on and WiFi was fine using the old firmware but it automatically updated in about 30 minutes. Now, no connection like everybody else. The wifire was the reason I (my wife) purchased this smoker so if it isn’t operational soon, Traeger will wish they never sold it to me. I’ll give them the two weeks mentioned by others but after that....

I have a pretty much brand new ironwood 650 (done 3 cooks with it). Was working perfectly the first two times but ever since the update it won’t connect. After messing with my grills for hours it randomly connected and seemed to be working fine. I was relieved but confused as to why it randomly worked. Well go to use it the next day after “fixing it” and I’m now getting the “grill cannot download certificates” error. I don’t understand why after it was already downloaded and connected the day before why it had to download anything over again. Beyond frustrated with traegers support, all I get are generic Twitter DMs without any help when I write back.

Just curious...

Just curious...is this recurring issue isolated to iPhone users? I ask because I'm on Android, had connectivity issues when first connecting my IW650, did the whole forget Network and reinstall app routine a couple times, and have been fine ever since. My grill is connected to my home network and my phone updates apps automatically so I'm curious if I should take steps to prevent any further automatic updates. Thanks

I am on iPhone, have not plugged my grill in since this problem has surfaced. I have automatic updates on my iPhone turned off yet it looks like that didn't stop it from downloading the latest version of the app.

Thanks for the quick response I wonder if any iPhone users who have access to an Android phone have tried to connect the grill through the Android app? What's curious is I gave my Pro 575 to my son about a week ago, after the updates, and he's not having any issues and he's an iPhone user. I wonder if it's because I updated the grill via Android and then handed it off to him so he's not had to have any additional updates installed? Hopefully Traeger will get this issue resolved for all users. In this day and age no one should have to wait weeks for a fix. One would think the proper testing before pushing out an update would have been done. Best of luck!

I don't think that your or I update the grill firmware, it appears to me that it's done directly through their cloud when you turn it on and our phones do not need to be turned on or have the app open.
