Thank you for all this help btw

YW ... so 2.00.00 is the January Update release and known to have issues connecting - lots of folks who got updated to 2.00.00, or received a WiFIRE Controller with this version pre-installed had to get a replacement controller sent out to them with 2.00.01 before they could get connected ... if running through the WiFIRE Troubleshooting Wizard does not get you running, I would call back into Traeger Support and escalate to a Supervisor / Team Lead to get a replacement sent ..

Thanks, I feared this was the solution. Hopefully they can expedite. Also, not for nothing, but in order to get my grill as close to the router as possible I had to bring it inside and up a flight of stairs. Disheartening when it didn’t work, to say the least.

Whats worse is this was just delivered to my local retailer three weeks ago. Maybe old stock?

Yeah ... I have assisted a few folks on Traeger-related FB Groups over the past couple weeks who purchased grills in the last 10 days and have been unable to connect WiFIRE ... in those cases, the grills were manufactured in Sept & Oct 2019 and were running version 1.x of firmware, which is now considered vintage/obsolete and unsupported via the Traeger Cloud back-end & App as of June 1st (I think it actually stopped working in May when the updates went live around the 18th) ... you can check your Manufacturing Date via the attached pic ...

Ugh ... that sucks ... as an FYI - I have been able to setup my PRO 780 when the signal strength was reporting as low as "Fair" ... you'll get a warning in the App, but you can still complete setup successfully ... If the signal is reporting as Poor, then you won't be able to run through setup ... my PRO 780 updated on May 19th with a Good signal rating ...

2004 on those digits so April of this year. Interesting.

Update, new controller arrived today. Installed in five minutes and paired and connected the first try. Problem resolved.

Well Done!!! If we could only get the others on here, and the various Traeger-related FB Groups to do the same (i.e. get a replacement controller when necessary ... the when/whys are covered in other threads), the amount of teeth-gnashing and angst would subside greatly ...

Hi fellow Treager owners.

I am sitting here in Norway with a brand new Treager Pro 780. Well I did think it was brand new but it is from old stock. I figured out it was made in 1811 (November 2018) according to a post in this discussion but I got it 2 weeks ago. My grill tell me it is version 1.00.10 and according to you guys this is now obsolete and no longer recognized by the Treager app? So what do I do here? My Treager app just gets stuck when trying to send network passord to the grill and then time out. Is the only way to get a new controller from Treager?

Thanks in advance

Yours Sincerly Mr. Marius Trones (Norway)

Ok thank you. Will first contact the importer of the grill and see if they can help me out then. They hopefully already got a way to contact them swiftly. :)

Hi everyone and happy christmas to you all.

I got my new controller installed and it did connect to my wifi. It also said it downloaded some files during the installation. After it was done it said I had version 02.01.03

Is this the latest one? If not how do I get the latest one? Leave it in idle mode overnight? Will I be notified somehow?

Yours Sincerly Marius

You’ve got the latest Firmware. Looks like your config may need to update to 3.010. Give it 24 hrs. You probably aren’t missing a whole lot. Your grill will go to 500F?
