Not sure if this is the final version of the 'set up wizard', but the web page that the guy mentioned in the Instagram story is live on their site: https://www.traegergrills.com/status
This page is slightly confusing. So the update took my Ironwood 885 and brought it to 3.0.0, but the most recent firmware is 2.0.0?

Yes, that's my confusion as well. My firmware is currently at 3.00.00, but the NEW firmware will be 2.0.0?

Here’s an interesting tidbit I’ve noticed. Anytime I try to connect the app to my grill, it fails (of course), but then I can’t connect back to my WiFi from my phone without entering the WiFi password again. It’s like it’s making my phone forget my network.
Same here

I still have not been able to get my grill updated to the new firmware. I’ve left it on for a couple days now while connected to the WiFi 2.4ghz.

From traeger today:

Hello Ian,

Thank you so much for your patience and understanding. I want to apologize again for the inconvenience this has caused. I have an update on the highly anticipated fix for the Error Provisioning Grill/Failed to Download Certificates.

We simply ask that you turn the power switch on the back of your grill to ‘ON’ and leave the grill in sleep or idle mode. This will prepare your grill to receive the update as early as next week, which should repair your connectivity and get you back to enjoying your WiFIRE experience.

Our team is already in the final stage on fixing this issue.

Please keep in touch. Thank you for choosing Traeger!

Regards,
Warren

Its been 2.0 so what is 3.0?? I talked with Traeger Rep and they advised the new Version would be 2.00.01..!!!

After calling and finding out their menu options have indeed changed. They direct you to the https://www.traegergrills.com/status for all Wifire issues. Plus side is, I'm calling to complain about a leaking lid and a broken power cord and there was no cue to talk to someone.

From the Traeger email that went out on Jan. 15th announcing the new WiFIRE update that caused all this mess:

Please allow 24 hours to your grill to update. Once the 24 hours have passed and if you’d like to make sure your update was completed successfully, turn on your grill and go to Menu > Settings > About Grill. Underneath the grill model, you should see this sequence of numbers: “v02.00.00” if you have a D2 Pro, Ironwood or Timberline Grill. You will see "v03.00.00" if you have a Gen 1 Timberline or a Gen 1 Ironwood 885. If instead you see these numbers: “01.01.06”, then you may need to power your grill off and turn it on again, or disconnect and re-pair your Traeger App with WiFIRE.

Yes, confusing how they have it laid out. I also don't think this is the "wizard" they are talking about, which I thought they said was going up tomorrow (Saturday, Feb 8th).

They show the current D2 WiFire version listed (2.0.0 1/15/20), and then show the AC WiFire (Timberline) current version (3.0.0 1/15/20) and then the AC WiFire version history. And then under that history, they have the D2 WiFire history. Yes, mixed up. And to make it more confusing, they go into the AC WiFire history again below that.

The Timberline (AC WiFire) is on different firmware, and has a longer history with all the updates shown. Newest is 3.0.0 (1/15/2020).
The D2 WiFire (Ironwood and some other grills. I'm only sure of the Ironwood) is newer, so started out at 1.1.6 and new version is 2.0.0 (1/15/2020).

Well... their wizard didn’t help worth shit, still gotta fill out a form and wait for them to contact me over how to fix this grill. So beyond frustrating. I don’t think I’ll ever recommend a traeger to anyone else.

Same here. As a software developer, that 'wizard' is a freaking joke. I can't believe that promoted that as if that was going to help solve things for people. All that is is an 'interactive' version of walking through steps we've already tried. For me, I get to a dead-end and with no other options.

And where’s this “update” we were promised the week of feb 3rd. So far I haven’t seen any updates... and they got a day left I guess but it doesn’t seem like anyone works there during the weekends.

I have a newer Timberline, it has the D2 controller which updates to 2.00

It looks like the older models go to 3.00 and all newer grills with D2 go to 2.00

Looking at the new status page, I don't see any reference to newer 2.0.0.1 firmware for D2 controllers that has been kicked around. Mine is working fine on 2.0 and iOS 1.4.1 so I'm in no rush for changes but am leaving the grill in standby for the next week or so.

Has anyone received their free can of rub? Wondering if they’re actually making good on that promise.
