What's for dinner tonight? Dinner ideas?

That looks awesome. I haven’t done much seafood grilling/smoking, and most of what I have done was kinda bland, but I’m gonna try that recipe.

Get one of those 99 cent grill toppers. Makes it a breeze to slide on the whole cook and slide it off when done.

Salmon tonight from Dizzy Pig. This recipe will make you look like Chef Ramsey to your family. It's a family favorite. Picked up a nice Norwegian farm raised filet at Costco.

Did you cook that recipe on the Traeger?
If so, what temp?

Thought I’d give this a try...6 bucks at Walmart...
Dusted with Voodoo..

Finished product!
It was actually much better than I thought it would be, and the wife loved it. It had a pretty heavy smoke flavor, and didn’t taste like bologna at all.
We made sandwiches with thick slices, but this would also be great cubed on a snack tray, with your favorite adult beverage.

Version of the below from the Traeger website. No onions as my wife doesn’t like them. Used Holy Gospel on the two.

interesting stuck the meater in the one. Traeger probe in the one in the center. Meater was reading meat temps about 20 degrees lower and ambient around 50 degrees lower.

Bought a bottle of raging river rub, if if gets here in time, I will try it on Saturday…

Do you use a pizza stone for salmon?
LoL you caught that. I did. It’s what I had so I figured I’d give it a shot. First time.

First cooks with my new Silverton 810. I can’t tell you how much I appreciate the info on this site, and how it lead me to purchasing a Fireboard 2. It was so easy to see what the Traeger was actually at for temperatures and adjust. I did a Poor Man’s Burnt Ends using a chuck roast, and also did the Traeger Salmon with Avocado Salsa from their recipes on the website. Both were absolutely delish!!!! Here is the link to the burnt ends: https://heygrillhey.com/poor-mans-burnt-ends/

Thanks to all, and I can’t wait to smoke something else. I previously had a Pro 34 from Costco and gifted to my Son to start him on the path.
I recently did the salmon and avocado salsa myself.....wife loves avocados. Turned out great for me too. What is that you're cooking your fish on???

I haven't brought any of the grilling planks for the salmon and if the pizza stone works then I will use that and save money.
