What's cooking on your FlatRock or Griddle today? 🥞🥓🍔

Just used my leftover ribeye, onion and peppers to make an omelette. Browned the eggs a bit but turned out ok.

You had asked about how to know if the seasoning was adequate. In my opinion making an omelet is the best test for seasoning. If the omelet slides around like a hockey puck, you are all set! If not keeping cooking a few more times and it will get naturally seasoned.

Family is out of town so had breakfast for lunch. Just a big pancake and two eggs.

You’re going to get tired of my smashburger photos, but I had about a pound of meat and two buns that needed to be eaten or frozen so a buddy who wants a griddle came over for lunch. His 17 year old is pestering him to get one specifically for these.

It’s amazing how far a pound of ground chuck will go when making smash burgers. Unless you’re like me and make doubles or triples. My grandkids love them.

I made us doubles, so half pound burgers total…..but honestly a quarter pound single is probably enough. Definitely enough for my wife and daughter

I often make doubles but with 3 oz patties. So a 6 oz burger is about the perfect size for me.

Blueberry pancakes. Nice to be able to knock out 11 pancakes and the first few batches not be cold when it’s time to eat like when I use a skillet on the stove

I actually quit cooking my bacon on my griddle it’s better tasting and hardly any mess in the oven. It also frees up the griddle space and eases timing issues.
