I have recently moved back from living outside the US for 8 years and will shortly get my Traeger out of storage. Anyone with advice or experience what I need to do to get it working again? Or is it hopeless and I need to save my money for a new one? I had a BGE overseas but prefer my Traeger. Thanks.

No suggestions just inspect it. But I am interested in what model you have.

Yeah if you left pellets in there (hope you didn’t) remove them and buy new. Fire away. Happy Traegering and welcome home!

Thanks for the advice and I will follow it. We move in in about a month and looking forward to brisket that first weekend. Gb
God luck

OH and BTW, make sure your grill sounds okay when you fire it up... it may have some minor rust areas that need to be worked out before running smooth but I hope that's not the case. 👍

Obviously I would treat it like new and do a burn on it before cooking anything... at least up to 400° for a short time.

Turn on the power early to catch what software upgrades are available. I feel this is going to be your problem if it is a WIFI model.
