Hello! My Timberline 850 has a grease issue. The “gutter” that runs along the front and down the left side has rusted beyond repair. At first, I wrapped it with tin foil, but now it is rusted bad enough that tin foil won’t provide a bandage anymore. It appears to not have sheet metal screws to simply replace it. I have seen others post they use disposable tin foil pans to capture the grease, but I didn’t see any pictures. For some reason, my brain can’t fathom where to put the pan.

This is a well used smoker. It easily sees 4-6 cooks per week, depending on weather. It has had a variety of problems, but it isn’t the intent to trash Traeger here, I simply want to continue to use my smoker till it finally dies. Thank you!

Sounds like your smoker gets a lot of love! For the grease issue, you can try placing a disposable foil pan directly under the drip area inside the grill to catch grease before it flows to the gutter. If the pan doesn’t fit perfectly, trimming or shaping it might help. Alternatively, you could DIY a replacement gutter using sheet metal or heavy duty foil. Hope this helps keep your Timberline 850 running strong!
