Traeger Firmware update

I did that Gary. Thanks for trying. I even dropped the network and re did it again. No luck.
 
But did your app update??
The grill is a beast all by itself!!!
Just finished doing some chicken breasts fantastic!!
Really like this grill and I want 500 degrees!!
 
Still waiting for my new one week old 780 Pro to update. Traeger told me it should only take 24 hrs to update after powering up the grill. Here we are 60hrs and still nothing...….
I called & got automated menu w/2-3 hr wait time. How did you get through? Do they have an email address?
 
I called during the morning on a weekday and was given the option to have a call back!
So 45 to 50 minutes later I got the call.
Since we are shelter at home its not a problem for me.
 
I have a very early Timberline 1300. New "update" has been a nightmare. Two seperate phone calls to Traeger service (one yesterday was after 105 minutes on hold) for over an hour each, to find out they can't figure out what's wrong either. basic problem is I can't pair the WiFi since the update. Tried my android phone and my wife's IPhone. both go through the pairing process (wouldn't even do that a week ago) but hang up at "checking wifi connection." sits there and spins for hours until I give up and turn it off. looked for the wifi antenna, bt apparently the early Timberllnes didn't have one (also don't have the pellet monitor and can't even install the new add-on: apparently the controller is different). I've tried turning the grill on and off, reinstalling the app several times, and always no luck. Anybody got any ideas?
By the way, was anybody besides me naive enough to get excited abut the new "Pellet Press" they sent out an email about? looked all over the internet trying t find out something more about it. I finally asked Traeger about it during one of my conversations with them. Turns out it was an "April Fools" joke! nice of them to let us know !
