Pro 575 not achieving temperatures

Hearing that sort of response, multiple times in many forums, is what made me place my order for a RT Stampede today. Wanted the 575 for so long. I'm glad I didn't pull the trigger right away.

I know you have only had the Jim Bowie a little over a week now, but what do you think? I was just about the get a Traeger 575 until I started doing a little reading. Now it is making it really hard to spend that much on something I hope will work correctly. I was going to get a Daniel Boone before I found the 575. I guess I will just have to look at the GMG again. I don't think there is a local dealer though.

I really like it....holds temps well!

I rec'd a new controller for my 575 (haven't rec'd a new RTD) installed it, updated to 01.01.01 and unfortunately when display says 450 the actual temp in barrel is 360. Doesn't look like a controller replacement was successful. Yet to test lower temps, but not achieving temps above 360 writes off doing many of Traeger's own recipes....

I gave them the benefit of the doubt and swapped my 575 out with Home D for a second one. The second one had the same issue. I really liked the overall grill and were Traeger was going with it. Unfortunately I wasn’t going to wait all summer for them to figure or not figure out the problems. I’ve had three Traeger's over the years but as others have done I returned the second 575 and ordered a RECTEC Stampede for darn near the same price. There is no comparison on the quality and accuracy of this grill.

I hope for Traeger’s sake they get this figured out, they have been a great company.
