Had a chat with CS rep supervisor this morning. He said they were told by IT yesterday (Monday, July 20th) that testing is in progress with so far good results and "plan" is to release the new firmware and config this week.
Noticed a member reporting new firmware 02.01.03 pushed late monday afternoon.

As of 9am PDT on 7-21. Still on my original config version of 5.007.

As of 9am PDT on 7-21. Still on my original config version of 5.007.
January 2020 was a wide release ... all registered Grill UUIDs received it assuming they were connected to a Wi-Fi Network ...
March 2020 was a targeted release ... only a subset of Grill UUIDs received it ... this was when 500 degrees was initially added as a feature update ...
May 2020 was a wide release ... all registered Grill UUIDs received it assuming they were connected to a Wi-Fi Network and were powered on between May 18th-27th ... it was a 2-step update - Firmware first, followed 12-24 hours later by Config Version ... required staying powered on through the entire process ... if powered down after Firmware update applied, the Config Version never was updated ...
July 2020 is TBD ... the fact that some folks are receiving the update, but not all, means that either Traeger is doing an initial "test" before going wide release, or this will be another round of targeted release to a subset of controllers ...

Below is the message I got from one of Traeger's CS Reps. This would be so much better for them if they just communicated on there website.
"The updates are being sent out in waves, as long as your grill is connected to the internet, and kept on standby when not cooking, you will receive the update shortly. Unfortunately we do not have the ability to push the update directly to your grill.
We had to pause the update process for a while due to an issue with the last version, but they have now resumed. We appreciate your patience during this time. -Traeger Social Media "
