Isn’t Yoder owned by Traeger. If so the customer service might be the same. Just a thought. When the Ironwood finishes going belly up, I believe there is a Yoder in my future.
I am on my third controller with mine. Luckly was in warrenty and first one went out before I even cooked a hotdog on it. They said they burned in the grill at the store. Burned out maybe. Crap grill if you ask me or I just got the lemon. Have also replaced heat sensor and door gasket.Yep. Spend that kinda $$ on a grill and 6 weeks out of warranty the display goes bad and they don't step up.
For $300, it will be their loss as I'm done with Traeger, but not done talking about their disappointing customer service and defective parts.
Yep seems they have had a very bad time with these controllers. On my third. And my wife got me this as a present and sold/gave my campchef away haaa. Was not a happy camper.....My 6 weeks out of warranty Ironwood 885's display is going bad. Traeger Customer Service offered a whopping 15% off a new 300 controller to fix the problem.
Not a happy camper.

How long have you had your ironwood. Redoc has had his for 3 years and 6 weeks.Yep seems they have had a very bad time with these controllers. On my third. And my wife got me this as a present and sold/gave my campchef away haaa. Was not a happy camper.....
Yessir and might note all 3 controllers I replaced within the 1st month and a half. AND even had the dealer drop one off at my house (didn't offer to put it in) that was used and did not work haaa. But all been good since then. Temps are off but I think that's pretty standard. Just bought mobile temp sensors but not putting out big $$$ for a fireboard or something like that. Haven’t checked my temps. The cooks and so well I haven’t felt the to check it. Had it 4 months without any problems. I keep it in the garage never left out overnight. We have had Little Tex, Little Tex Elite, Pro 22, Pro 575 and now the Ironwood. This grill is amazing compared to the others. I tell everyone about it but probably should not since folks like you do have problems. Anyway, sorry for my ramblings hope your problems are all resolved now.Yessir and might note all 3 controllers I replaced within the 1st month and a half. You are right. Before buying the Ironwood I considered Recteq and Yoder. However the Ace Hardware that I purchased my Ironwood has a Traeger expert working for them. He come to our home and replaced many parts on our other Traeger’s. He is very good can get quick responses from Traeger. Being a senior-senior citizen and If I had a problem with Recteq or Yoder I didn’t how it would be resolved easily.Consider buying a Recteq. Better build quality and they have been known to replace parts even if you just went over the warranty period.
