Goodbye guys

Ouch! It does take lump though. That's a good thing. Up to 8 hour burn time.

Here is the new girl, just burning in atm. App took 1 min to connect up, give it a try in a couple of days.

you get your charcoal smell back!!

Can't wait to see your reports on the grill. It's great to see charcoal tamed! 165-700F wow!
I agree, quite the temperature range. I am interested to hear about the searing and smoking on it. Hybrid crossover, between a few styles of cookers. Getting those temps are pretty impressive.
Now if they can master the same process on an offset smoker that will be the game changer.

I was wondering how it shuts down???

How do I turn off my grill when I’m done cooking?
Close the all lids. Press and hold the Power button until the grill powers off. The two slides will be used to smother the fire. Put the small slide through the bottom slot and the larger slide through the upper slot. If the slide will not go in fully, it may have slid behind the shroud and was not properly inserted in the sleeve. Pull the slide out, make sure it is parallel to the slot and try again. The “M” should be facing upright.
*Failure to insert slides will cause remaining charcoal to burn and could cause damage to grill.
*Do not store or cover until the grill has completely cooled.

The grill plates are reversible, a wider type for smoking and the other side thinner for searing. Will see how they go or use my Grillgrates.
And apparently the Fireboard drive is adaptable for this unit, great! just after I bought my Fireboard2

Today is seasoning day and also looking for wood chunks that don't come from China!.
Haven't settled on lump or briquettes yet, will try both and go from there.

I use lump and chunks with the Kamado, usually mixed in the firebox at the same time
Chunks for the smoke and the lump for the heat and long burns. I have never put briquettes in mine, I have a Weber kettle for those.
