Ahh, ok…Many thanks…

Shipping was a little expensive, but I got flavors not available at my local Tractor Supply. Thank you!

Couldn't resist the last two deals but I'm out of buckets for now so I came up with this temporary solution. Four bags in a heavy wall trash bag. Pulled a vacuum with my Bucket Head vac and tied it off with a cable tie.

Curious about how long the vacuum will last before I have to renew it.

HEB now sells Bear Mountain Pellets for $11.99/20 pound bag. I just grabbed a couple of the Gourmet pellets for pulled pork today.

Been looking for a new pellet since my local Rural King stopped selling Lumberjack Pellets. Locally, I can find these at Academy Sports and Tractor Supply...I'll have to grab a bag.

Ordered my first bag of Bear Mountain this evening just wondering if there are some comments on this brand of pellets
I've been buying lately because I can get it locally at Tractor Supply Co for about $9 per 20lb bag. I was using Lumberjack prior to that. I've noticed a little more ash after cooking with the Bear Mountain, but for the price, it's worth it.
I like it a lot. Let us know what you think after your first smoke.

The pitboss I've been using was extremely long pellets, some were 1 1/2" long and I've been wondering why I'm getting weird temp spikes on my long cooks.
I bought Bear Mountain again today and the pellets in the whole bag are no longer than 1/2". As soon as I do another long cook and the rest of the Pitboss are out of my hopper, I'll have an answer which pellet I'm sticking with and why.

Bear Mountain at my Tractor Supply are now $11.99/20#

So far the $12.99/40# Kirkland are doing very well. I save the Bear Mountain Hickory for my smoke tube.
yeah BM at Lowes is $12.99, I'd waste the GAS going to my Tractor Supply even if they were $9.99...

I now use Bear Mountain as my primary pellets. One thing I've noticed that when I bought the pellets directly from Bear Mountain they arrived factory fresh with almost no dust and produced very little ash. The pellets I bought from Lowe's or Tractor Supply (lucky for me both stores are very close) had a lot of broken pellets and dust, probably because they have been on the shelf for a long time.

It is worth it to buy directly from Bear Mountain when they run their annual buy one get one free sale.
