Hi, I just inherited a BBQ124 (2007 RECEIPT). It wasn't in really great condition but I will work on getting it's glory back. In the meantime, I'm trying a spatchcock turkey but the temp gage on the lid keeps dropping and I see that the stainless steel top has gaps at the bottom where it closes and cool air can get in as well as warm air can get out.
My question is, is this cover/door meant to lie flush and seal pretty well? It doesn't looked warped. I'm not sure what to do. Try to bend it? Add a heatproof type oven seal around it? I have stuffed foil around it and the thermostat seems to be rising now.
Thoughts and suggestions would be lovely. This is my first Traeger. Turkey is still cooking. Fingers crossed.
