2.01.03 Update THE ONLY THING GOOD IN 2020

Mine did that as well with the grease pan warning, I cleared notifications a few times and it finally cleared, I thought it was odd at the time.

The Please vac grill message cleared with just 1 attempt.
Thanx. Have not had the vac on yet. Yea I think the ol clear notifications will make that button go out first on these controllers. Haaaa. I just got to get your shelf on it and at least it will look killer till I get to cook on it down the road !!!

Got a new software version on my 780 today!

Yep, went from 02.02.00 to 02.02.01! Hope it does something good!

I had SW Ver: 2.02.01come in when I turned the unit on last week for the first time since mid January. Because this is a CostCo unit, the Config Ver: is 11.005.

My Timberline is still T2.01.00.
You probably already know this, but you can also check the version in the app..

I just hope it doesn’t screw something up...
No Release Log updates posted via the WiFIRE Status Page (https://www.traegergrills.com/status) ... that was also true for Firmware version 02.02.00 ... the page does show 02.02.01 applying to many of the non-Timberline models, but it has not yet been updated to reflect that the PRO Series models are now receiving that update as well ... I will reach out to Traeger CS via Chat on Monday to see if they have any "news" to share, and reiterate that it would be nice if they would add some Release Log entries :) ...

Decided to reach out via chat today to see what feedback I get ... essentially "thanks for letting us know ..." - this was similar to when I reached out when 02.02.00 was released ... Customer Service, which is primarily outsourced, is submitting a request on my behalf per the attached screen shots from the chat session ... we will see if that goes anywhere ... last time (02.02.00), it did not ...

I just wish we could request these updates from the app, instead of them being pushed. If I had a choice, I would never take one of Traegers updates when they first release them..

PULL updates would be preferred ... now that Traeger has moved their back-end to AWS, assuming they are satisfied and plan on continuing to stay there, it should be something Traeger considers ... most of my other IoT-based devices use a PULL Update system (Amazon Echo & Google Home devices being exceptions)

The flip side is that they end up having endpoints (i.e. WiFIRE Controllers) running every version possible after they've made the change to PULL Updates from PUSH Updates, and it becomes a challenge getting folks to update ... if they have to then go back to perform some kind of mandatory update for supportability or security reasons, and there are any dependancies in order for the latest update(s) to apply, they would end up bricking controllers ... not to mention the testing complexity of having to have every Grill Model w/WiFIRE running every version of "supported" firmware in their labs to verify if it can successfully complete the upgrade to the version about to be released ... forcing connected WiFIRE Controllers to always receive updates limits their testing matrices to N (released) and N+1 (upcoming release) ...

Agree that their track record in 2019 and 2020 up through the August update was not good at all ... but since then, the last few updates have been generally trouble free (since they released 02.01.03 in August 2020) ...

Since updates are a 2-step process (Firmware first, followed by Config Version), I am curious what version(s) are installed on your PRO 575. My guess is you're current on Firmware (02.01.03), but if you're powering down after every grilling session, your Config Version is probably lagging behind a bit (current = 04.016) ... care to share what versions are installed?

App update behavior will depend on how your App Device is setup - if you've configured it to automatically install updates, then you should be current (iOS = 2.0.10b2 | Android = 2.0.8) ...
I have a 575 pro and can not get it to connect to my Wifi so I checked my s/v is 01.00.10 and Confirm ver is 04.004. I am going to call to see if this is an outdated version.
