► ****Inkbird WiFi Grill Meat Thermometer IBBQ-4T $64.59 35% off!!!!!!!!!!

Are you trying to connect to 2.4 or 5? Like the Traeger app you have to connect to either 2.4 or 5 to get it started. Mine arrives later today. I’ll try and connect tomorrow. To be continued.
My network is a mesh, so my phone connects to whatever it thinks works best. I looked up some work arounds and being further away from the router should help. It’s funny because the Inkbird app says to get really close to the router, but I suppose that’s if you don’t have mesh. My neighbor for example has two networks one with 2g at the end and one with 5G.

I will try this method later

For anyone else that isn’t getting the discount.

I own several Sonos speakers and it requires to connect to 2.4. I read a lot of people having connectivity issues with Sonos. Sonos doesn’t work well with mesh. So be aware that mesh isn’t for all WiFi products. I don’t have mesh in my house.

This I can live with

I ended up looking into the adnanced settings on my router and my guest network connects to 2.4. So I connected to it with my phone and it paired seamlessly then. I changed back to my main network on my phone and all seems to work fine now.

Good to hear. I had to do the same with my Traeger app. Once it connected to 2.4 I switched back to 5. My InkBird just delivered to my house. I won’t be able to connect it till tomorrow. Working 16hrs today. Won’t be home till midnight.

Oddly I didn't have to do it with my Traeger app so was a bit surprised to run into issues with the Inkbird.

Which App did you decide to use?

Apple or Android device?

Inkbird Pro. The InkbirdSmart app for the best reviews but it doesn’t seem to be able to pair with the IBBQ.

I have an iPhone

But you were able to finally pair it with your iPhone using the Inkbird Pro App ???

Yes. Seamless once connected to the 2.4G network

Should be getting mine tomorrow.

Have an iPhone also & have already downloaded the Inkbird Pro App.

Have a Dual Band Router (NO Mesh Network) (NO Guest Network).
Traeger App paired flawlessly.

Will see if I have any problems with the Inkbird IBBQ-4T connecting.

Will report results.

I had no problem connecting mine (I have 2 now)....considering a third if for nothing else, spare parts :) I have a mesh network and it pairedwithout any issue. Most routers and mesh systems allow you to turn the 5 version off, so that's one way to force a connection to the 2.4 network and then simply turn it back on.
