You turn on your Traeger and it registers 103 degrees before it's even lit.

you open the sliding door to go from the house to your back deck and it feels like you're walking into the indoor pool room at a Best Western.

Yesterday, I reached into my IW885 to remove a skillet that I leave in there when not in use. The pan burned me as the grill temperature was nearly 150 F. I had to go get a glove to protect my hand. The grill was in the sun, but I had not yet ignited the firepot.

Here it is in the shade.

Here it is in the sun.
Whoa! Actually, it is the shade measurement that is really impressive. The sun measurement is comparable to what I would get here where it is usually in the 80's.

I have a tree providing shade for my patio most of the day. It is the late afternoon sun that hits the grill directly and causes issues. I try to get my cooks finished and into the cooler before the sun hits it. Glad you have a covered outdoor kitchen with a fan and beer on tap!
