Wireless Thermometer

My new toy arrived ? got the drive until so it can also control my Komado grill instead of using my BBQGuru
I will be able to use all 6 of the ports at the same time and control the Vision Komado grill as well as monitor temps on the Traeger and whatever is cooking on both.
I know I had issues with the temperature probe on the Traeger, so this will give me a bit of confidence in actual temps

I got one as well, it's an awesome product. They are working on an optional magnetic case, due out soon. I made one to use for now.

Nice set up on that. A magnetic mount would be nice.

Excellent unit, I have the first version works great, I used this tape to mount it with no problems, for weather protection if needed I put it a small zip lock bag. https://www.bunnings.com.au/everhang-760-x-25mm-self-adhesive-magnetic-strip_p3690101

Thanks. I mistakenly purchased a tape similar to that for another project. I will use it on this, thanks for that idea
I used a ziploc bag for my BBQGuru when it was used with a chance of rain. Would do the same with this or use the portable market tent I bought for the smokers

Thermoworks ThermoPop, Thermoworks Signals and Thermoworks Dot are AWESOME!!

I've used a Maverick transmitter/receiver setup for almost 12 years now with my Weber Smoky Mountain. It's not bluetooth or phone enabled but it's ALWAYS worked for me. Since I got the Traeger, I have yet to pull it out but may run some tests to compare the Traeger probe.

I see now that Maverick is selling some bluetooth options on their website. Wonder if they're as good as the old tech setup I've used for so long.

I have about 5 Mavericks and I too have never had a problem with them at all... I'll still use them with my Traeger ... I trust them

working VERY well on controlling the Visions Komado Grill. Have a roast in at 275F and it has been holding the temperature steady. A lot more stable than my BBQGURU did.
Color me impressed

Took me a a bit to figure out the set up, but once I got that it was set and forget, or watch
I have the ash drawer taped closed to keep it air tight. I need to redo the seals on this grill.
I can see me using this grill a lot more now
Very happy with the Fireboard2 Drive unit.
