WiFIRE Status Page has been updated (2020-05-20)

my grill has firmware 2.01.02 now too. Waiting for config file update

Holy Shit ... after multiple Factory Resets yesterday where WiFIRE did not receive any updates ... my Firmware has miraculously upgraded itself to 2.01.02 from 2.00.01 overnight (early this AM?) ... but still sitting at 03.007 for the Config Version (03.010 is current) ... I can see how this might be a 2-step process ... so as to limit changes on the WiFIRE Controller (serial vs parallel updates) ... tempted to do another Factory Reset to see if I can get it to load up the new Config Version ...

I didn't have to do anything

I didn't have to do anything

Neither did I as the Factory Reset (run 2x) did not update the Firmware yesterday afternoon ...

They keep tweaking the Release Notes on the WiFIRE Status Page - this was added:
Release Notes:
  • Improved connectivity during runtime and pairing
  • Enable 500F for Pro grills
  • It may take up to 24 hours to receive the configuration update

cool, I'm fine with that!

So the config file will update itself without any action required? I tried a factory reset and it just did the firmware update again but not the config file.

That's the unknown at the moment, but considering a few of us got the firmware update without any end user interaction, I would say yes ... in order to minimize issues, it makes sense to do this as a 2-step update ... firmware first, then followed on by config file afterwards ... i may try a factory reset to see if I can force the config version to update in a bit ...

Factory Reset of WiFIRE did not pull down the latest Config Version, so hoping that will occur within 24 hours as stated on the WiFIRE Status Page (https://www.traegergrills.com/status)

Thanks for the test! I'll leave it like this for now, if anything happens, I'll let you know.

Just checked - Config Version 03.010 is now running on my PRO 780 and I am able to select 500 degrees ...

In standby mode(on) or sleeping?

I have power cycled / Factory Reset a couple times today trying to "force" the Config Version down ... gave up ... walked away ... a couple hours later it was installed ... so ???

Good for you! I unplugged mine for the afternoon, I’ll let it in sleeping mode until tomorrow, who knows. But thx for the heads up.

I've been attempting to get my Pro 575 to update to the new firmware for a while now. I had tried all kinds of things multiple times:
-uninstalled reinstalled the app
-factory reset
-power cycled
-deleted all wifi info and then set up again
-called customer support (but they didn't really know how help)

My grill has been turned on for well over a week and nothing had happened until THIS MORNING! I checked my app and the firmware is up to date the grill is capable of reaching 500 degrees. It feels like the solution wasn't because of anything I did, but maybe they are finally pushing the updates to everybody who needs it. For those who are still waiting for the update it might be worth checking your grills today to see if yours updated too.

Yes, mine was updated yesterday night, I am able to reach 500F so all good. I am not sure as well that anything like resetting it or deleting the app etc has to do anything with it. Maybe just a restart of the unit sometimes could help but there is no magical procedure. Once it's connected to the network, just leave it.
