Welp... They said it would happen.. RIP paint and liner

I bought an Ironwood. A mistake.

I'd buy a Kamando Joe or anything else if i had a redo.

I love my Ironwood 885. I realize that am pellet grill it is not for everyone. I realize the limitations of the grill. I only use it for cooks for which it is well suited.

Every type of grill has specific types of cooks for which they excel. If you want to cook hot and fast, a pellet grill is not the best choice. For an unattended cook overnight, the pellet grill has no equal. If cooking steaks, I start the cook on the Traeger and then reverse sear the steak on a gas grill or in a carbon steel pan on my gas stove. Quick cooks like hot dogs, brats, and burgers are easier on the gas grill.

I do not do homemade pizza, but I have cooked several frozen pizzas on a perforated steel pizza pan. I set the grate temperature to 400F and the pizza turns out great.

Very good post. I only have one grill, an Ironwood 650. I know the limitations as RayClem stated. We like smoke flavor so the IW is perfect for us. Had fajitas last night, cooked at 450. They were great. Next time will try 500 degrees. Reverse sear ribeyes tonight yum!
