Unpacking a new 1300

Just unpacked and assembled the new 1300. I must say the way they box them for shipment is impressive.
Since it’s now 9:00 at night and 5 degrees out side, I think I will wait till the temperature gets a little bit better before I fire it up. So far I’m happy with the fit and finish. Have a great day.

It's hard to wait but probably wise... you got plenty of good cooks coming up real soon
 
Welcome! My suggestion for seasoning the grill, I would not exceed 400F for your first several cooks. Don't jump into reverse searing until the paint is well cured.

I am with RemE on this one, and also do not fire it up in the garage just to stay warm.... take a look at RemE’s thread on insulating a timberline while your waiting for it to warm up....
