Traegerday 2023

Week 2 is Nashville hot chicken dip. I’ve never made it. And I dont know if anyone at my house would eat it besides me!😂😂
I would come over and help you with eating that if I lived closer. Sure some others on the forum would as well!

Sounds wonderful to me

Well I was wrong, week 2 was smoked dips in general. I made white chicken chili,Elote and smoked salsa.

Week 3 was cocktails. I’m not a big drinker so this was all new to me. I made an Old fashioned with smoked simple syrup and smoked orange. An adult lemonade with gin and smoked lemons. and a warm drink made with Dr. Pepper that I smoked/heated on the grill, Fireball whiskey and a smoked lemon. And I soaked pineapple in fireball and grilled them on the traeger.

Week 4 was big proteins. Well we were camping so I took my Bronson 20 and the Junior 20 that a friend gave me. I cooked ribs, a chuck roast and wings and did some beans onions on the side.

Well, I won week 1 and week 3. Week 1 prize was a sticker sheet and week 2 was a flag. All in all it was a fun series and everyone ate well. And I even got a little tipsy!🤣🤣

I knew a lady at church, who unlike you, was not a great cook. When we would have a church dinner and everyone made their favorite chilli recipe, she would bring her white chicken chilli. Hers was nearly flavorless. Everyone, including her called it "Wimpy Chilli". That is the way she and her family liked it.

Personally, I prefer my chill to be very flavorful, but not necessarily hot. Thus, I will add things like ginger that are not always associated with chilli. I do add chilli pepper, but in limited amounts. With colder weather on the way, it is time for me to whip up a big pot of chilli to last through the winter. Normally, we make it in a large slow cooker, but I might try smoking it on the Traeger to enhance the flavor. Thanks for the idea and encouragement.
