Traeger Update V02.01.00 Pro 500f

Was just on the phone with Traeger trying to update my unit.
Tried everything nothing so being forwarded to the higher up managers. Learned how to do factory reset. Hopefully it works.
Did your app update as well???

I wonder if the update now allowing the grill to reach 500 degrees will cause issues on the hardware. Peeling paint, warping heat diffuser, damage to porcelain coating on grill grate. I hope they designed with the 500 degree update in mind at the time. Has anyone experienced any issues thus far?

The Ironwood has the same paint & porcelain grates and was designed to go 500F. Overheating and paint peeling is always a concern with these grills.

Makes sense if they are the same material specifications. What do you mean overheating is always a concern?

I've seen a few threads where paint peels. My old Pro 22 did, but I had the insulated blanket on it. I think the biggest issues is a dirty grill, which could lead to grease fire or if there's too much ash.

That makes sense! Hopefully no overheating with a clean grill under normal operating conditions.
