Traeger Email - Your Month in Review

My message for my 1 cook was an average grill temp of 795 degrees! Don't know where they come up with this stuff.
Obviously one of the Traeger probes were used to obtain that value 🤣😆
We know how accurate those have turned out to be.

Maybe since you only cooked once it said average was $795.00 per cook and you just miss read it?, LOL

I wish it reported how many pounds of pellets you burned!

I was shopping several years ago before I bought my Traeger and the salesman told me "it costs about the same per year as buying propane." After I bought my Traeger I learned that was a lie after burning through my first bag of pellets. (I bought expensive the first round). I switched to a much cheaper brand and still go through them like crazy. Granted I am doing longer cooks then I did with my gas grill but I would only go through 2 tanks a year. Don't want to count how many bags of pellets I've burnt the past year.....

I go through a tank of propane in about a month or two. I’m cooking much larger cuts of meat on the Traeger than I do on the gasser, so on a per meal basis I think pellets are actually cheaper, and at the very least, for me anyway, it evens out.

Maybe if I averaged it out it would be about the same. I probably am cooking more with the Traeger than I did with my gasser. I just know I would usually spend 35-40 a year on propane and my first bag of pellets cost about that much and didn't last long.

If I cook a brisket, using the overnight method (18-23 hours), I’ll use 1 bag of pellets at around $8.99 a bag. I’ve never checked, but I bet my 6 burner Weber wouldn’t go 23 hours on 1 bottle of propane at around $15.00 ( and fuel prices are climbing). But, I also use more pellet fuel, than propane, because of the much longer cooks, but those much longer cooks usually yield several meals.

So I hit 7 "Traeger Days" last month! I'm still shooting for 15 😂

Wouldn't break my heart if they forgot about me.;)

I haven't got an email from them either for a couple months, no complaints thought.

I got mine for last month. My slowest month since June. Been traveling more over the weekends. Next month November will be the same. With winter season coming up I still like to grill throughout any season. But we like to travel all year long too.
