Regarding the Traeger App and WiFire... When you set a timer on the app or set a temperature for the prob, is the app supposed to notify you?
I only hear the beep from the Traeger and not a single notification from the app. I wasn't sure if its a setting that I can not find or if Traeger really needs to add this function to the app.

I get notifications on my phone, even without opening up the Traeger app after starting the grill. I get all notifications as a ringing and a visual display. Maybe you have notifications disabled in the phone? I’m running IOS latest version.

So, it might just be the Android version that needs better development from Traeger as it sounds like their iOS version has the functionality. It's a feature that is needed as it kind of defeats the purpose of having WiFIRE if you have to be outside next to your smoker to get alerts and notifications.

To be honest i was surprised that my phone notified me that my grill was up to temperature without starting the app up first. Wasn't going to use the wifire for that cook, but it notified me anyways.
The one thing I have noticed, I do get all my notifications HOWEVER if I am away from home(no longer on the home wifi) the notifications are delayed or sometimes don't come through until I open the app to check on it. Kinda disappointing, but it is what it is. Lot of communication is required from lots of parties just for me to get a timer notification when I should know when my timer is up by looking at the clock.

Must be the difference between iOS and Android, then as I don't even get that kind of notification, it would be nice. I have even checked to ensure I do not have notifications disabled for the app. I get nothing even if the app is open and running, and my screen is awake.

I have taken the liberty to email the developers for the app and will see what they say.

I get notifications, app open or not on my iPhone but I keep an eye on it anyway, I don't want to find out two hours later that the grill went out for some reason.

So, I know some on the forum received the invite to beta test the Traeger app (Android) and can't say much of anything on the forum do to them signing an NDA, but, in general, without violating the NDA, are you liking the update(s)?

I never heard back from the developer and still have no notifications as found on the iOS version. Do hope this feature comes out soon!
