Timberline D2 controller issues

So I changed out the controller in my 850 timberline. Had sticker shock at what one from traeger cost so it went online to an auction site and purchased one. Supposedly from a x traeger employee who had picked up several. Long story short after being on the phone with support for at least 3 hours they claim it's not one of theirs because the firmware is nothing that they've ever had. Contacted the person I purchased it from and assured me that it is real. Has anyone ran into this and do you know how to get it to update? Included a screenshot of the version.

The Config listed on there matches to the current version available for the Timberline 1300. I've never seen the format of that Firmware version though. Do you have any pictures of the controller itself? Are there any model numbers, stickers, etc. on it?

How old is your 850 and why did you need to replace the controller? Does the new controller actually work and you just want to update it to the latest software? Or does something on it not work correctly?

Well it works but the temperature is real erratic so I was hoping a firmware update would correct that. I know it says 1300 but I don't think that should matter? Plus that shouldn't have anything to do with the funky firmware version.
The reason for the change is I converted it from a Gen 1 AC to the D2.

Looks like a legit controller to me. I've never seen that software version though. If the server isn't recognizing it either, that could be why it's not showing you that an update is available.

Yeah imagine you're right, I'm probably SOL. Was Just in hopes somebody had some way of forcing a update or wipe it clean or something. No doubt in my mind it's legit but treager is convinced it's some knock off and not theirs so they're not going to help.

Could be a demo unit that was used at the factory and wasn't meant to be released to the public. I'm not aware of a way to force an update but hopefully someone else here has some ideas for you. Can you snap a picture of that label on the top? That might help. Do the QR code stickers get you anywhere interesting if you scan them?

Yeah it's installed now when I get back to it I will have to take it out and snap a picture.

When I scan the QR code that number comes up but it won't let me do anything with it.
