My Traeger seems to be unable to maintain a steady temperature at the higher temps

Traeger is set at 255°F knowing it runs about 15-20° hotter

But the overshoot and corrections are pretty dramatic tonight. Any thoughts as to why?
Almost looks like an airflow issue. But what can plug up on the downdraft?

That's what i was getting when I had that air flow MOD I did...

I agree but I don't know.

Gave the Traeger a really good clean. Including the temp sensor. Purged all the pellets from the tube and hopper. I took the leaf blower and proceeded to blow out every nook and cranny inside and out. (*not recommending that this is an approved method. But if you are careful, it works just fine). I had a fair amount of black dust and rust blow out from the downdraft and inside the hopper and firepot. Don't think it was enough to cause the fluctuations I was seeing.
Today she was holding temps fine and no big overshoots

I am thinking the auger tube needed the dust cleaned from it, and the change out on the pellets made the difference.

As we are always experimenting with our T grills. Today’s grill temp was reversed. Spot on on the left and higher in the middle and right side. But the T box read 225 on target throughout the 3 hr smoke. I’m still learning this new grill.
