Temperature Probe Storage

There are many temperature probe storage solutions out there, some are for sale and some are free to download and manufacture yourself. If you own or have family or friends that own a 3D printer, you can make them yourself at home.

I recently designed my take on a storage spool that is available for free on Thingiverse for 3D Printing if you are interested. I'm also interested in feedback... both positive and negative.

My intent is to help folks to safety store the probes and increase the life of the probe. I have both Traeger probes and various Fireboard probes that work with this design.

My oldest son just got a 3D printer. And he is itchin to print something useful. Do we have to print more than 1 piece for this?

If you follow the link it has downloadable files. From the photos I am guessing that there two pieces for each spool.

Correction: In the description it states you need to print 3 pieces for each spool: a top, a bottom and a bolt.

I need to get myself a 3D printer. I am just using some old Weber I-grill probe holders. Works with my current setup. I would love to be able to print my own. I also picked up this case at harbor freight for $13 to keep organized...everything fits perfect with my instant probe as well.
