Pro 575 Temperature Issues

That's correct, but not to mince words, he said he needed WiFi to operate the grill.

This really is sad that some have so much difficulty connecting this grill to a source of Internet. It really is not rocket science. But as the rest of us figured out, it solves all the issues getting it updated. I honestly think the damn thing even connects up better once updated. But that is sort of chicken before the egg.
 
I'm guessing he lives out in the sticks and may not even have LTE coverage (probably only 1 device too). Without the most current firmware update, the grill is not very useable, which I think is what he was really getting at. All Traeger needs to do is have a way to download the firmware file to your device and then use the app to apply the update. That would solve all of these problems.
 
Traeger sent me a new probe, which I installed to no avail. They responded and asked for my serial number so they could verify what firmware it's on, that was about two weeks ago and now nothing. Is there a way for me to check and see what it is on my controller?
 
Yes, it should be the same screen as we have on our Pro 780. Choose "about grill" in the menu.

It will show model, SW version, Config Version, and UUID
