Pro 575
Hello, I am new to Traeger as I just purchased a new Pro 575 a couple months ago in September 2019. I have used the grill about 5-6 times with no issues until about 2 weeks ago. When attempting to start the grill now I get a beeping noise and an "igniter disconnect" message on my screen. I have cleaned the grill very well before trying to use it again. Trouble shooting with Traeger has been challenging. I have been getting mixed answers to correct this issue. One rep said I need a new hot rod. I was later contacted and said to disconnect the red and white braided wire from the controller and then reconnect them. No other guidance on how to go about doing this. Curious if anyone has had this issue with there grill and what they did to fix it. Disappointing to be having these issues on a 2 month old grill.
Thank you in advance for any information.

I’m going through the same issue. I got directions for a different smoker setup for the repair.
I’m playing warranty battle right now and have ordered my own hotshot.

I just recently got this issue fixed. Finally communicated through customer support and found someone that knew what they were talking about. This is what fixed my igniter disconnect issue
  1. remove the front screws on the front of your controller
  2. find the red ad white braided wire and disconnect it and plug it back in.
  3. clear the notification.
This worked for me. I was told if it does give that igniter disconnect message after doing the above that if would mean the hotrod needs to be replaced.
I was finally able to get the wifi connected and my grill updated overnight. Can take up to 2 days to update. I have used the grill twice since then and it has worked great. No more temperature swings after the upgrade.
Hope this helps. I was sent a picture of the wires on the controller for a reference as well.

Today I tried to start my grill and I received the same issue. Traeger told me to look under the burnpot and there’s a screw to adjust it. Ofcource after I took it out there wasn’t anything to make an adjustment. Called Traeger again and customer service said I would receive a call back in 20 minutes. Call never happened.... did you get yours fixed? I tried disconnecting the red and white wires like the other post said but no luck.

Did you have the power on when you disconnected it?

I had the same issue this morning and the first thing I did was to disconnect the red/white connector from the main controller board, took my digital voltmeter (ohms) and checked that there was continuity between the two leads, there was which means that the hot rod is not 'open' and should work. I plugged the connector back in and it solved the issue for me. Must have been a bad connection.
