Power Outage

Cool. Glad that it's working for you.

I put a power meter on my Ranger and measured the draw. If you are interested have a look at my post
Yup, your unit pulling 237 watts at ignition is pulling just under 2 amps, no worries with a 16ga cord.

Anyone have any links to purchase one of these UPS devices and is there a better brand for better warranty and service quality?

GrillMeister thanks for the link, just wondering how long it would last, could you use it for boon docking on an RV for a 12 hour cook? or is that more the job for a portable power station ?

I'd suspect this would last a few hours, likely not good enough for a long cook. You'd need a power station.

Like RemE said, it's only for a few hours. I use it so a glitch or power outage won't interrupt cooks and I sleep better knowing the cook will continue regardless. If I was boondocking, I'd be using my GMG Davey Crockett which runs on 12 volts along with a deep cycle battery. You will need an inverter, but you can get up and running for $150 for that (not counting a charger).

For a 12 hour cook you may want to look for a power station with at least a 400 watt-hour capacity.
