Yeah, I was gonna add that you could put it in a pan at 160 or so, but I bet that would mess up that beautiful bark you would get by going totally commandoI usually wrap around 165 or so and crank the heat and put it in a foil pan to catch all the juice so this time I was going to go commando through the cook and wrap before it goes into the resting cooler (which according to Amazon is out for delivery!).
I figure at 165 it has probably got all the smoke it's going to get and raising the temp would lessen the smoke impact anyway, so perhaps put it in a pan then; however, I do like your idea of just riding it out on the grill and catch the juice once it's resting.
