Pizza

First, get yourself a good pizza stone or pizza steel that will fit inside the Ranger. I have a pizza stone made of corderite.

Then heat the grill up to 400F. Slide your pizza (either frozen, refrigerated, or freshly made) onto the pizza stone/steel using a pizza peel that has been dusted with Semolina flour so the pizza does not stick. The pizza should be a couple of inches smaller than the diameter of the pizza stone/steel. Allow the pizza to cook until it the crust is browned properly and the toppings look good. The exact cooking time will depend upon the thickness of the crust.

I have an Ironwood that I have used to cook frozen pizzas right from the freezer. I have also made my own pizzas from refrigerated pizza dough from Trader Joe's topped with my own selection of toppings. I have not tried making my own pizza dough as I have a Trader Joe's a mile away. Their dough is inexpensive and works well.
