Permanent FireBoard 2 Ambient Probe

My hopper is on the right side of the grill (same side as the RTD)
Yes, I knew that, I was just pointing out how I used of of the 'existing' screws to make my probe holder the way I did...

Make use of those shelf screws if they do indeed exist. đź‘Ť good luck

I was able to bend the strap on the right side so that the tip of the ambient probe extended further beyond the strap itself.

On the left side, for now, I utilized the two holes in which the upper grate sits and a grill clip to hold the ambient probe (which is really FB's standard meat probe). I saw a screw under the shelf that might be able to be utilized for attaching a strap in the future.

I'm running out of daylight and I am cooking 2 butts at 5 am tomorrow so this will have to do for now. Thanks for your help, Slim!

I don’t monitor the left side of the grill.

You’re way overthinking things.
The Ironwood will be 20-30 degrees higher on the left
You can definitely drill into the left side. Just don’t push the drill too hard
AFIC copper steel whatever will all get up to temperature of the grill eventually.
Relax

Then how will I use all of the ports on the Fireboard:D? I'm relaxed; decided I'm not gonna drill but will probably try and use the shelf screw or cut bait. With all of the attention to varying cross-grill temps here I thought it night be good data to have.

GOOD LUCK ON YOUR BUTT COOK!!!!
