My Pro 575 will go up to 500 deg's. Make sure you have the latest firmware updates.

I was not happy either, but went with classic from Costco. I really wanted to upgrade, but made mods myself to compensate for thinner metal. They are not double insulated. Take at look at the thread Ambient Temp to see what I accomplished with their shell.

I think you can buy nice charcoal cooker for around $500 that has the convenience of a Traeger, smoking of charcoal. I just bought one for my son-in-law. And it is double insulated, gets over 700 degrees.

me too! I bought too soon.

I just saw that Costco is selling a larger Traeger with cabinet space below AND one end shelf and one front shelf for $200 less than I paid for my Pro 575 -and if that's not enough, the grill will attain 500* for searing in lieu of the 450* I'm stuck with. Here's the link:

I also like barbecue very much, expecially Traeger. The grill parts I bought on this website are very good-https://grillpartsreplacement.com/ and exceed our expectations! Easy to install, the appearance is comparable to the original parts, high quality and low price, you can try to browse, let's get started!

Here they are, this is on my Pro575. Back of grill below the barrel. That is the upper grate hanging off them.
THAT'S what those are for?! I guess I should have read my manual front to back. I assumed those were a type of cable management hook.

I wouldn't trade what you have for that BOX looking rust bucket no matter what the advantage... Besides, a lot happens at 500 degrees including more wear and tear on the metal... Yes the 50 degrees makes a diff on the metal....

You wanna SEAR on yours, take the heat shield out and do it in the middle for only a couple minutes each side then done. (you'll have to clean anything that dripped down there but it works)

I've been doing fine with the 575 so far. For searing I use my charcoal grill. The Traeger now goes to 500* with the new firmware but the charcoal sear adds a flavor of it's own and sears instantly. I still haven't bought the folding front shelf. Just stubborn I guess.
